About Video Game Design Students

As video game design student, you’ll be preparing yourself for a career in the fastest growing segment of the entertainment industry. You’ll learn how to create games that are visually stunning and interesting to play. You must, however, be able to deal with technical problems — such as game pacing, and programming bugs — and to work as a team player.

If you find that a career in the video game industry doesn’t suit you, you can put your skills to work test in health care, education and law enforcement — three industries with high demand for people with programming skills. Demand in these sectors, along with demand in the video game industry itself, is expected to remain high throughout the next decade.
