Whether or not students’ diplomas specify that they went to an online university is at the discretion of the university itself. However, most likely the diploma will state the name of the online school or university as well as the student’s area of specialty or completed degree.

If students are receiving an online degree from a traditional university, usually the university does not specify that the degree was earning online.
