Although online courses may feel isolating at times, students still have the opportunity to make friends from their online courses. Many courses facilitate social interaction through the use of chat rooms, video conferences and online forums. One way to make friends from online courses is to organize a weekly or bi-monthly study group or club for students who live near each other. Forming academic clubs and/or groups is a great way to really connect with other students who most likely share similar interests and career goals.
