As long as students have legitimate excuses that warrant coursework extensions, i.e. in the case of serious illness or family tragedy, they should be able obtain coursework extensions. However, coursework extensions are always at the discretion of the university and/or course instructor.

When requesting coursework extensions, students may be required to provide proof of their excuse, such as a doctor’s note or death certificate.
